Community Nutrition Service
The community nutrition services arm endeavors to provide normal and therapeutic nutrition counselling and education to ethnic communities, organizations, industries, services and all age groups.
Past Projects
- Workshop on Nutritional Counselling Strategies in Type 2 diabetics.
- Project on Anthropometric & Nutritional assessment of school-going children and adolescents.
- Conceptualised, planned and organized a mega-exhibition called ‘Defeat Diabetes 2008’in Mumbai a 3-day event to impart patient education, and awareness on prevention and management of diabetes. This was open to lay people. It consisted of 3 sections: interactive lecture sessions and open forum; patient education gallery with 90 charts and a unique nutrition section; health check-up camp for diabetes care.
